With a succession of hit singles A1 have became one of the most widely remembered acts since achieving their first chart success in 1999 with Be The First To Believe. Peaking at number six the single spent an impressive twelve weeks in the charts and led to the release of Like a Rose, Summertime Of Our Lives and Everytime/Ready Or Not. As a result the band impressively entered the millennial's with four top ten singles despite the fact they were only just beginning their musical career.

Their success only grew as they entered the noughties and achieved their first UK number one with cover Take On Me closely followed by their second number one hit, Same Old Brand New You. By 2001 the group were established international superstars in extremely high demand as performers, they also achieved their first BRIT award for the Best Breakthrough Act. The band became one of the most exciting and talked about groups in the industry resulting in consistent chart topping hits and a demand for a four year tour.

From achieving four Gold-certified singles in Scandinavia to a silver in the UK for Take On Me the band decided to make a return as a three piece in 2009 and released a further two albums. They took part in The Big Reunion on ITV2 which brought together many popular noughties acts including Eternal, Blazin' Squad and Gareth Gates.

Much to the fans excitement A1 announced a full lineup reunion in 2017 which became the first time in fifteen years Pail Marazzi re-joined the other members. This was to celebrate the bands twentieth anniversary in 2018 and it was announced their UK comeback would take place November 2019 in London at the 02 Islington.
