Luke Reid aka Flukes is a producer/songwriter from Forest Hill, South London and founder of Crazy Cousinz. Born on June 27th 1989, he showed early signs of a musical talent and was classically trained on the piano and saxophone as a child. He soon moved on to DJing & producing which he has now been doing for over 6 years. When explaining how he received his pseudonym, Flukes says: “I inherited the name Flukes when I was 13. The name followed with 2 pairs of Numark TT100′s, Ten Records & a 2 channel mixer with a temperamental cross fader for my 13th birthday. After 6 months of thorough practice I decided DJ Flukes was a name worth keeping!” Crazy Cousinz was founded by Flukes who first came to prominence in 2004, producing the smash hit „Wifey Riddim? which featured some of the UKG?s best artists such as Tinie Tempah, Sadie Ama, Bashy & Wiley. „.Soon after the hype of Wifey riddim came Tinie Tempah?s second promotional single entitled“Hood Economics”. Crazy Cousinz was started in 2007 and the first major single „Bongo Jam?, was released by Defenders Ent and featured Calista from Channel 4?s Big Brother celebrity highjack, „Bongo Jam? would be the beginning of a string „funky house hits?. These tracks included; Kyla – Do you mind, Meleka – Go, MC Versatile– The Funky Anthem, It?s that Funky & Searching for you, Kimona – I See You, Haynzy/Aidonia – Thinking About Me/Inflation and the most current 2011 single signed to Disturbing London (Tinie Tempah?s Label) Omarion – Arch Your Back. In 2010 Defenders then signed a JV deal with Warner to release the 1st Funky House compilation entitled “This Is UK Funky House” mixed by Crazy Cousinz. The CD peaked at number 13 in the national album/comp charts. If producing original hits and touring the UK and Europe wasn?t impressive enough, Crazy Cousinz has remixed some of the biggest names in music including Cheryl Cole, Estelle, Neyo, Jazmine Sullivan, Alesha Dixon, Kid Kudi to name a few.
