The Wideboys are everywhere right now. Proving this, they have recently landed themselves a slot on the home of dance, Kiss FM. You can tune in to The Kiss Bass Mix every Sunday from 10pm – 11pm for non-stop bass mixed by The Wideboys. So far, The Kiss Bass Mix has been filled with mixes of the likes of Jack Beats, Doctor P, Erick Morillo, Nero, Example, Ed Sheeran, Calvin Harris, DJ Fresh, Adele, Breakage, Steve Angello, Toddla T, Majestic and a whole lot more.
Platinum selling producers Eddie Craig and Jim Sullivan have been working together since 1996 and are behind the Ministry of Sound Addicted to Bass albums, with the 2011 edition reaching number 2 in the compilation album chart and still currently featured in the top 20. New album release, The Sound Of UK Garage, features a Wideboys remix of Wretch 32’s Unorthodox along with their latest single Shopoholic featuring Sway and McLean, which has also received airtime on MTV Bass, The Box, Kiss TV, Sub TV and has received support from the likes of Zane Lowe, MistaJam, Trevor Nelson and DJ EZ.
Winning Best Newcomer at the 2000 U.K. Garage Awards secured The Wideboys' place in the industry, and marked the beginning of a successful production and performance career. The Wideboys went on to win Best Dance Act in 2008 beating off Bassment Jaxx and Booty Luv to the title, followed by two successful remixes of Artful Dodger tracks featuring Craig David, giving them the notoriety they deserved with the public. In turn they were quickly approached to remix tracks by Pussycat Dolls, Rihanna and Girls Aloud, Taio Cruz, Katy Perry, Roll Deep, Snoop Dogg, Black Eyed Peas, Kanye West, Example, LMFAO, Wretch 32 and Cheryl Cole amongst others.
Having performed all over the world and appeared on National radio stations such as BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, Kiss amongst many others, The Wideboys have held some impressive international residencies at big venues, Eden & ES Paradis in Ibiza as an example, and have played most major clubs in the UK with regular appearances at the biggest festivals and clubs around the world.
